The Von Duprin 996L-NL-RV is the nightlatch-function lever trim for 98/99 Series Rim and Vertical Rod exit devices. The lever is always rigid (does not retract the latch). Instead, the key in the rim cylinder momentarily retracts the latch for entry, then the latch re-engages when the key is released.
Compatible with: Von Duprin 98 Series, 99 Series, 9827, 9847, 9849, 9927, 9947, 9949 Rim and Vertical Rod exit devices. For mortise, use 996L-NL-M.
Nightlatch function. Lever is rigid. Key momentarily retracts the latch bolt; lever is decorative only. Used where momentary access is desired without unlocking the lever.
Mounts via included screws. Rim cylinder required (sold separately). Specify lever style and handing.
Classroom (996L) uses the key to lock/unlock the lever. Nightlatch (996L-NL) keeps the lever rigid at all times; the key only momentarily retracts the latch bolt for entry.
The lever is functional in the sense that it can act as a pull, but it does not retract the latch. Entry is via the key only.
