The Von Duprin 996L-BE-RV is a passage-function lever trim with no cylinder (blank escutcheon) for 98/99 Series Rim and Vertical Rod exit devices. The lever is always operable — turn the lever to retract the latch. No keyed function.
Compatible with: Von Duprin 98 Series, 99 Series Rim and Vertical Rod exit devices. For mortise, use 996L-BE-M.
Passage function. Lever always operates the latch. No cylinder cutout (BE = Blank Escutcheon). Used where unrestricted entry is desired.
Mounts via included screws. No cylinder needed. Specify lever style and handing.
BE means no cylinder cutout in the escutcheon plate. The trim has a clean, uninterrupted face — no keyway.
Interior doors, stairwells, and any location where the door should be operable from both sides without keyed restriction.
No. The escutcheon is solid. To add keyed function, you would need to replace with 996L-RV (active lever) or 996L-NL-RV (nightlatch).
