Yes. Mortise devices require a rectangular cutout in the door edge. Verify your door prep matches 9875/9975 specs.

BE (Blank Escutcheon) is designed for unrestricted passage. If you need a cylinder, choose 996L-M (classroom) or 996L-NL-M (nightlatch).
