The ALX Series is Schlage's heavy-duty Grade 2 commercial cylindrical lock — a workhorse for medium-traffic commercial openings in offices, retail, multifamily, and light institutional applications. Modular chassis design allows field-replaceable function kits, chassis kits, and lever/finish combinations.
Function: Privacy. Lock from inside via a push-button. Emergency tool (small flathead, paperclip) can unlock the lever from outside in an emergency. No key cylinder — used for bathrooms, bedrooms, and private offices.
