The Von Duprin M996L-BE-RV is a motor-driven electrified passage lever trim with blank escutcheon — no cylinder. Used in electrified access-control applications where keyed override is not required and a clean uninterrupted escutcheon is desired.
Compatible with: Von Duprin 98 Series, 99 Series Rim and Vertical Rod exit devices.
Motor-driven electrified, passage function. Power retracts the latch; no cylinder for mechanical override. Used with access control systems.
Requires power transfer. No mechanical key override (BE means no cylinder). Specify lever style and handing.
Set the DIP switch to FS (Fail-Safe) so the lever unlocks on power loss, or FSE (Fail-Secure) so it remains locked. There is no mechanical key override.
Choose BE for cleaner aesthetics or where the access control system is the only intended unlock method. BE is common in modern card-access and cloud-managed installations.
