Schlage ALX Series Function Kit
Function module for the Schlage ALX Series modular cylindrical lock system. Use to add a function (or change between functions) on an existing ALX chassis. Includes the function module only — no chassis, no lever, no cylinder.
Available functions
- 10 — Passage: Door always unlocked. Both levers free.
- 40 — Privacy: Push-button lock from inside. Emergency tool unlocks outside.
- 50 — Office: Key locks/unlocks outside. Inside push-button locks outside lever.
- 53 — Entry: Key locks/unlocks outside. No inside push-button.
- 70 — Classroom: Outside lever unlocked unless key locks/unlocks.
- 80 — Storeroom: Outside always locked; key retracts latch.
Pairs with
- Chassis: Schlage ALX Chassis Kit (any finish)
- Lever: any ALX-compatible lever (Athens, Rhodes, Sparta, Latitude, Saturn, etc.)
- Cylinder: 20-series conventional cylinder or compatible IC core (sold separately, required for functions 50/53/70/80)
